While at our residential programs, villagers eat, sleep, and play in Japanese. Whether it’s with their cabin, language group, or at their dinner table, villagers are immersed and learning all day long.

Villagers enjoying some free-time after visiting the Village store for snacks.

A typical day in a residential program includes time with small language-centered groups, a variety of cultural- or language-based activities, Japanese food prepared by our wonderful culinary staff, time for reflection (or a nap), and plenty of songs and dances.

1-week, 2-week, and 4-week (credit) residential sessions are open for summer 2023! More information on our COVID and vaccination policies can be found here. For session dates, check out Rates & Dates.
